44 Prime is the new hot spot for the town of Starkville, MS which has gained a sterling reputation for their gourmet dishes including steak, seafood and pasta. Named in honor of major league baseball hall of fame pitcher Roy Oswalt whose jersey number was 44, the new restaurant boasts a bevy of high-end steakhouse eats which puts it on par with some of the most exclusive steakhouses in the country. It also has an extensive wine and cocktail list for guests to choose from.
The interior has been transformed from an industrial space to a high end bistro. The restaurant has a luxurious, upscale interior design with walls featuring fancy wallpaper mixed with strips of wood planks. Steerhead skulls and photos of bovines also adorn the walls adding to the steakhouse look. They chose swany carpeting instead of hardwood flooring which adds to the upscale look and also reduces noise to give guests a more intimate dining experience. Candles lighting the walls give off a romantic glow and small lamps at the tables help create an intimate feel.
Craig Fant, one of the owners of 44 Prime contacted our experts to help furnish the new restaurant. He chose button tufted back booths in half circle shape with jewel navy fabric upholstery for the back and platinum vinyl for the seat. These booths enhance the bistro’s elegant decor and give it an air of sophistication. They were placed along the walls where they can give customers privacy and space to enjoy their meal in quiet making efficient use of the floor space. The booths also fit in well with the overall decor and the platinum seats match the marble table tops creating a refined look.
For additional seating, they have high back, fully upholstered chairs with button tufted, velvet upholstery. The chairs add to the premium look and the button tufted upholstery goes well with the booths. Our extra wide button tufted Parsons chair looks very similar to the chairs used in 44 Prime and would make a good substitute providing deluxe seating with their extra wide seat and tall backs. These chairs are paired with steel table tops for a modern touch.

Half Circle Booths: Regular vs. Full Radius
When ordering the half circle booths 44 Prime decided to go with the most luxurious option, where the booths were specifically made in a full radius configuration. It's important to point out that normally 1/2 circle booths are made in a u-shape and not full radius circle (as shown in the images below). The regular U shaped booths have a slight angular built to the seats and back while the full radius has no angles. As a result of that unique build the full radius booths have a more attractive look to them. While both options provide similar seating capacity, the full radius is mainly used in upscale restaurants, night clubs and lounges.
