Established in 2013, El Molcajete Moya is a family restaurant located outside of Washington D.C. Serving authentic Mexican cuisine with the freshest ingredients, the restaurant reflects a dream that began in Mexico 70 years ago with a taco stand.
Led by Salvador, the father of 8 children, a dream was kept alive to bring the traditional Mexican dishes to the United States. After several years of hard work and dedication, El Molcajete Moya opened its doors. Today, each of the 8 siblings can be found either in the kitchen doing the cooking or out on the floor, taking orders and ensuring the satisfaction of the customers.
The menu has everything you can expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant and includes a unique drinks menu, entrees and specials. All served in beautiful dishes and colorfully displayed. Whether you want something simple like Tacos or something heartier like a Pozole you won’t be disappointed by the large menu selection and tasty dishes.
The interior of the restaurant is a mix of urban style and Mexican décor. Red walls and colorful banners enhance the Mexican vibe while madder back chairs and bar stools in light silver metal finish, black vinyl padded seats and reclaimed looking resin table tops add an urban feel to the interior lending a modern feel to a classic Mexican restaurant.
The ladder-back chairs and bar stools with silver metal finish offer a timeless aesthetic that brings class and sophistication to the interior. These chairs are made from durable metal frames with a traditional ladder-back design for a stylish look that is sure to stand the test of time. The sleek silver metal finish is bright and light making them the perfect choice for the colorful design of El Molcajete Moya. Providing long-lasting support and comfort, their much loved and popular design helps to create a classic and elegant look.
The reclaimed wood looking table tops add to the traditional look that the restaurant hints to in its décor. Heat, stain and scratch resistant the resin table tops look like wood but are easier to maintain and last through heavy daily use. Together with strong cast iron X prong table bases they create durable, wobble free tables that El Molcajete Moya’s customers will enjoy for years to come.
